Proverbs 27:5 (KJV) Open rebuke [is] better than secret love.
A noble artisan of good rapport and name recognizes truth as beauty perfected. The mark of an artist is a love beyond passion for their work. This is why most artistic works have a message of love behind them. Those that do not stem from the darker side of art, where vendetta, animosity, and hate rule the canvas.
Art is painted with words, colors, sounds, tastes and scents, all seeking to evoke a feeling within the recipient. This is what makes every life an artist and all the world a canvas.
Art is the outward expression of an inward experience.
But truth, above the beauty of nature; the beauty of life; the beauty of man-made wonders; the beauty of thought and imagination; truth is the most beautiful of all art.
The beauty of truth scientifically:
Truth is self-identifying, thus it does not strain the mind. Humans were given an affinity for truth over lies at the dispensation of conscience after the fall of Man. Truth is relatable and established. When we partake of truth through our senses it satisfies in a unique way and offers an absolute that our mind identifies as correct. In short, truth is beauty because it is what it is at face value. Its beauty is in its simplicity to observe and comprehend.
The beauty of truth emotionally:
Truth is affirmation of what we already feel, or condemnation of the same. Our minds love closure, immediacy, and direction. Truth offers both in a resolved way. It gratifies our emotions without flattering, and rebukes without inviting indignation. Truth is blameless because it is true and cannot be proven otherwise. In short, truth is beauty because it is absolute and reliable. It is unwavering, and our wavering emotions latch onto that.
God’s Word is truth-
It affirms itself by continuity. Not only does the Scriptures say it is true, it substantiates that by itself and by every other piece of history. More so, by the sheer beauty we see in the Scriptures we can reason in our own minds that it is true.
The objective of truth:
God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth. –John 4:24 (KJV)
Truth is a vehicle to bring our worship to God. Our spirit worships the Creator in truth: it must be this way. But how do we worship in truth if we do not have the truth in us?
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. –2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
God’s Word is truth, therefore to know the truth we must study His word and study aright. Nevertheless, we cannot comprehend His Word in our own power.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. –John 16:13 (KJV)
God has already taken care of a dispensation of truth to Mankind through His Holy Spirit giving direction and understanding to His Word.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. –John 8:32 (KJV)
And when we read and fully understand the truth we are made few in Christ. Truth is the best kind of freedom; the most beautiful liberation.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. –John 14:6 (KJV)
Did you know that was the only verse in the Bible with the words WAY, TRUTH, and LIFE? It just emphasizes all the more that there is only one way, truth, and life and that is Jesus. Jesus is the way to truth, the truth of life, and the life everlasting.
You cannot deny the beauty of truth without rejecting the truth of salvation. God so loved, He gave His son a ransom for many, that whosoever would believe on the truth would be made free.
Artistry is imitation work of the beauty we observe around us. The greatest works of art come through pain and suffering, or joy and exultation. A man in love paints a pretty picture, a man in pain paints a masterpiece. Consider Jesus, who withstood such contradiction of sinners, enduring the greatest pain because of the greatest love: how infinitely more beautiful His masterpiece than any other piece of art ever. The glorious beauty of the cross and redemptive story of God’s love is unmatched. I’m inspired as an artist to shadow and mirror that beauty in all my works. It is truth, it is light, it is life.
As always, thanks for reading.
