Prayer should consume the most time of any time killer you use.

How much time do you think you spend on Flappy Bird, Clash of Clans, Game of War(heaven forbid), Facebook(sacred cow! Sacred cow! Look out!), just killing time? Really…try to figure it in your head. I once tried to estimate how much money I spent on Dr. Pepper in a year; it was difficult to figure the cost, prices vary, but I figured it to about 12,000 ounces on average. That was a brain numbing exercise.

It’s the small things that we often overlook that take the mass majority of our time and finances. Little things add up. I resolved a while back to spend more time in prayer and in God’s word than any other activities during the day accumulative. In a thought: if I spend ten minutes on Flappy Bird or 2048, and another 20 on social media, I ought to spend 31 minutes with God. I failed miserably at this up until today.
About a week ago I deleted every social media app from my phone, leaving only Hootsuite to manage my accounts and post every so often. For reasons without number, but in part because I didn’t wish to subject myself to evil through the association posts that appear in my feed on Facebook, I gave up the app. It wasn’t so much for the savings of time, but to remove the temptation to place any cellular app in usage and priority over God.

I this time where I’m stuck in a bed, headaches and chills besetting me, I have little else to do but pray. This sickness may have happened for a reason, just what that reason is I do not know; but God does.

As always, thanks for reading.
